What’s in a name?

My name is Nel Mary Davis.

Nel is a shortening of Noelene, which was the name I was Christened. I never took to that name and when my mum would mistakenly call me Nel – her sister’s name – I would wish it was mine.

So, you may find my history on the web as Noelene Davis (or Noelene Daly pre-marriage). Now though, I am simply Nel Mary Davis – I made the change permanent.
