Meet the Grassfed Artists – 8 – 30 June 2025

Helen Oram has been a practising, exhibiting artist for many years.

Her inspiration is drawn from a childhood on an isolated farm in rural New South Wales. Many of the local characters appear in her work.
She has won numerous prizes and acquisitive and highly commended awards in municipal exhibitions in Shoalhaven, Manning and in many rural competitions. Helen has regularly been a finalist and award winner in city competitions.
Helen’s work has been sought after for commercial galleries in N.S.W. Victoria, South Australia and Canberra. She has had thirty solo and joint exhibitions and was chosen to represent women in an Interntional Women’s Year exhibition in Wollongong.

Nel Davis is never happier than when turning daydreams into beautiful watercolours. 

Nel divides her time between Sydney and the NSW Central Coast, and spends a lot of time thinking on representation of the landscape on painted paper.  Nel has participated in several group exhibitions in Sydney and beyond. Many of her paintings are held in private collections, including a number of commissioned works.

In the short time she has been painting there have been several awards: Winner of Castle Hill Art Society annual art awards, small painting, 2023; Winner of Castle Hill Art Society Christmas Challenge 2023; Winner of Central Coast Watercolour Society October Challenge 2023; Finalist, Northern Beaches Gallery Summer Exhibition 2023 and 2024.

She says: “I desire to paint the dream, and for the viewer to see that I’m playing with light, colour, and the crazy nature of watercolour.  I have so much to learn. Every day seems to bring a new discovery on technique and expression. I’m loving the journey.”
